SRBC Seeks an Executive Assistant - SRBC seeks an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to its executive, legal and public affairs staff.
SRBC Holds Business Meeting in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - SRBC held its quarterly business meeting in Harrisburg, Pa. on June 13, 2024. Among its actions, the Commission: elected Commission officers for FY2025; reconciled the FY2025 budget; adopted Policy 2024-01, “SRBC Procurement Procedures”; adopted a resolution to allow the Commission to use a reserve fund as a line of credit; adopted the 2025-2027 Water Resources Program; and acted on 19 regulatory program water projects.
Innovative Cooling Tower Technology Achieves Significant Environmental and Efficiency Gains - Infinite Cooling Inc. and the SRBC are excited to announce the successful completion of a landmark cooling tower upgrade pilot project in collaboration with the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority (LCSWMA) at their waste-to-energy facility in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
New General Permit for Cooperative Fish Nurseries - On June 1st, SRBC general permit GP-03 Cooperative Fish Nursery went into effect, easing the regulatory pathway these important facilities navigate when withdrawing water for flow-through use in their operations.

SRBC to Hold Business Meeting in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - SRBC is conducting its quarterly business meeting on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 9 a.m. in Harrisburg, Pa. The Commissioners will consider action on several agenda items, including election of Commission officers for FY2025; reconciliation of FY2025 budget; action on proposed rulemaking for agency procurement and bid protest procedures, and a draft policy entitled “SRBC Procurement Policies”; adoption of the proposed 2025-2027 Water Resources Program; and action on 19 regulatory program water projects.
More Than $8 Million Awarded to Consumptive Use Mitigation Projects - The Consumptive Use Mitigation Grant Program marks a third consecutive year of awarding money to pioneering drought resiliency projects. SRBC is thrilled to announce funding of more than $8 million to 27 projects that will improve water availability and quality during critical low flow periods.
SRBC to Hold Public Hearing on Water Project Applications - SRBC will hold a public hearing on May 2, 2024. The hearing will cover applications for several water withdrawal and consumptive use projects, a proposed rulemaking for agency procurement and bid protest procedures, and a draft companion policy entitled “SRBC Procurement Procedures.” These projects, rulemaking, and policy will be presented for Commission action at its next business meeting on June 13, 2024.

Susquehanna River Basin Commission Annual Report 2023 - The 2023 annual report highlights the remarkable achievements and continued dedication of our staff and partners in managing and maintaining the Susquehanna River Basin.
Proposed Rulemaking and Procurement Procedures Policy - The Commission is seeking public comment on a proposed rulemaking and companion policy. The proposed rules would amend the regulations of the Commission to provide for agency procurement and bid protest procedures.
$68 Million Grant Awarded to Restore Severely Impaired Watershed - SRBC has been awarded $68,255,481 through the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Abandoned Mine Lands and Acid Mine Drainage Grant Program to construct an active treatment plant in the Tioga River Watershed. The plant will remedy severe acid mine drainage from historic coal mining that pollutes the Tioga River, and the benefits will expand far beyond the restoration of a single waterway.
