2025 Fee Schedule Adjustments
On December 12th, 2024, the SRBC adopted a new Regulatory Program Fee Schedule effective January 1st, 2025. It includes simplification of instructions, recognizes efficiencies incorporated into our processes, captures policy changes that reduce or eliminate fees, and ensures that fees in general reflect nationwide inflationary pressures of the past several years.
This is the first time that the Commission has made changes to fees in more than five years despite a cumulative increase to the Consumer Price Index of approximately 20% over that timeframe.
The new fee schedule includes both fee increases and eliminations. It continues to make discounts and exemptions available to municipalities and other eligible entities. The Commission opted to waive any increase to its Consumptive Use Mitigation Fee. This fee remains at $0.33 per 1,000 gallons consumed.
Highlights include:
- a 10% increase to most application fees and to the Annual Compliance and Monitoring Fee
- adjustments to municipal discounts to better align them to either a 20% or 40% discount
- an elimination of the fee for transfers and reissuances of approvals, and for aquatic resource surveys
